Decide · Multi-model Herdr review

Runs bounded two-round reviews across model families in Herdr panes, writing per-seat round files and a chair synthesis without using the human as a clipboard.

Use when

A consequential decision or artifact (architecture plan, spec, risky diff, security design) deserves review by several model families in Herdr.

Support & adapters

  • Instructions usable across harnesses

Decision tree

  1. 01

    Preflight & council.mjs init

Require an artifact file, HERDR_ENV=1, and ≥2 model families; initialize .ramos/council/<run-id>/

    → round1.prompt.md + round2.prompt.md
  2. 02

    Round 1: Independent seat files

Each seat writes its own round1.<seat>.md ending with the completion marker; rate-limited seats recorded via council.mjs missing

    → round1.<seat>.md per seat
  3. 03

    Round 2 & Chair synthesis

Cross-examination via round2.<seat>.md (2 rounds cap), then chair writes SYNTHESIS.md (Agreed, Disagreed, ≤5 Decisions, Decision owner)

    → .ramos/council/<run-id>/SYNTHESIS.md

Prerequisites & install recipes

  • noderequired · default branchnode
    brew install node
  • herdrrequired · default branchherdr
    brew install herdr

Completion criteria

  • Refuses to start without a concrete artifact under review and at least two runnable model families in Herdr.
  • Seats write only their own round1.<seat>.md and round2.<seat>.md files ending with the completion marker.
  • council.mjs status reports complete: true with SYNTHESIS.md written and ≤5 decisions for the human.
